CEDAR CITY, Utah-Wednesday, Southern Utah University athletics announced the appointment of Scott Munro as the university’s faculty athletics representative.

Munro is an associate professor of engineering at the Cedar City-based university.

This role had previously been filled by professor of managerial economics, Dr. Joe Baker.

Munro came to SUU in 2015 after working at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division of China Lake, Calif.

He has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Purdue University in both aeronautical and astronautical engineering.

Munro also possesses a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech.
