A husband and wife who pleaded guilty in April to selling drugs have been sentenced to jail. Alejandro Manzo and Amanda Carrasco were arrested after the Sanpete Juab Major Crimes Task Force discovered they were selling drugs out of a travel trailer they were living in on Gravel Pit Road in Mt. Pleasant. Manzo was using his children to facilitate drug sales by having them deliver the drugs and pick up payments from customers. Judge Marvin Bagley sentenced him to 180 days in the Sanpete County Jail, and Carrasco was sentenced to 90 days in jail. Judge Bagley indicated Manzo deserved the longer sentence due to the fact he used his children to carry out the drug sales. Both Manzo and Carrasco have Immigration and Customs Enforcement holds and may be deported upon their release from jail.
