Man helped off Monroe Mountain after Snowmobile Accident

A 46-year-old man from Star Valley, Wyoming is recovering from injuries after he crashed his snowmobile Sunday morning on Monroe Mountain in Sevier County.

According to the Sevier County Sheriff Nate Curtis, the man called officials saying he crashed near Magleby Reservoir, but was able to get to his cabin.

Officials sent out a medical helicopter, but because of bad weather, the helicopter had to land at a much lower elevation.

Search and Rescue crews reached the man and he was driven off the mountain in a side-by-side, then a Search and Rescue vehicle, then an ambulance took him to the helicopter which took him to a hospital.

The man’s name has not been released.
