Crews are searching for a couple in their 20’s who didn’t return at the expected time from a hike in Garfield County Monday. 

The man and woman left their car at a trail head Sunday, and were hiking in Escalante on the way back to the car, according to KSL. 

Denise Dastrup with Garfield County said the two were experienced hikers. 

Ground crews and a helicopter searched the upper Escalante River area Monday night.
