SALINA, Utah-Stockton Andersen netted a pair of doubles and the North Sevier Wolves waxed Monticello 14-4 in 2-A Central baseball action Friday. Ryan Delgado added another double for North Sevier while Andersen also earned the win on the mound for the Wolves.
2-A South
KANAB, Utah-Kayden McDonald tripled and doubled and Dawson Orton added another double as the Kanab Cowboys routed Beaver 14-4 in 2-A South baseball action Friday. McDonald had 4 RBI in the win for the Cowboys. Marcus Fox earned the win on the mound for the Cowboys, pitching five innings and symmetrically netting five strikeouts. Crayton Hollingshead doubled in the loss for the Beavers. Kanab has now swept the season series from the Beavers, taking a 2-0 record.
Region 14
ROOSEVELT, Utah-Jakoby Kelly doubled and earned the win on the mound as the Juab Wasps routed Union 13-3 Friday in Region 14 baseball action. Raidyn Steele and Teagan Christensen also doubled in the win for the Wasps. Cache Hyder doubled in defeat for the Cougars.
DELTA, Utah-Nolan Beck took the win on the mound as the Providence Hall Patriots downed Delta 6-2 in Region 14 baseball action Friday. Austin Topham and Ty Tolley doubled for the Rabbits in the loss.
Region 15
BLANDING, Utah-Tracen Winkel doubled and Peydon Wood took the win on the mound as the South Sevier Rams bested San Juan 18-11 Friday in the first game of a Region 15 baseball doubleheader. Randall Flavel doubled and tripled, Trez Perkins tripled and Tanner Johnson added a double in the loss for the Broncos.
BLANDING, Utah-Peydon Wood doubled, but it wasn’t enough as the San Juan Broncos earned a split with South Sevier, taking a 4-1 win in the second game of a Region 15 doubleheader Friday.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Payson Reed doubled and posted two RBI as the Richfield Wildcats blanked Emery 10-0 Friday in Region 15 baseball action. Emmitt Hafen earned the win on the mound for the Wildcats, netting seven strikeouts.
Non-Region
MILFORD, Utah-Kyler Wunderlich doubled and Hunter Willden took the win on the mound as the Milford Tigers pounded Millard 13-3 in non-region baseball action Friday.
Softball
2-A South
KANAB, Utah-Tavy Gale went yard and Madi Robinson tripled and took the win in the circle as the Beaver Beavers routed Kanab 20-6 Friday in 2-A South softball action. Avery Brown and Lindsey Smith also doubled in the win for the Beavers. Niesha Mognett doubled for Kanab in the loss.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Kaelynn Cox tripled and the Panguitch Bobcats routed Milford 29-16 in 2-A South softball action Friday. Cheyanne Callies, Cortney Houston, Jayde Rose and Katheleen Sullivan all added doubles in the win for the Bobcats.
Non-Region
GUNNISON, Utah-McKaylyn Edwards homered, leading the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs to a 20-10 win over Juab in non-region softball action Friday. Kezzley Winn tripled and Paige King and Maddie Edwards each added a pair of doubles in the win for the Bulldogs. Gracy Christenson also doubled while earning the win in the circle for Gunnison Valley. In defeat, Hanna Holden homered while Keanna Williams and Raygen Newton added doubles for the Wasps.
