A cold front pushes through the state Tuesday afternoon through Thursday, dropping snow levels down to the valleys across the state. Widespread snow showers are expected to start Tuesday afternoon and persist through Wednesday morning with the passage of the cold front. Wednesday into Thursday morning, snow showers become more scattered in nature and mainly threat to mountain areas. Northern valleys/Wasatch front and stretches of I-15/84 look to have road snow Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Road snow concerns also extend through the northern mountains, Plateau region, and southern mountains, with a threat for gusty winds and blow/drift Tuesday into WED.
Motorists are advised to use caution and TravelWise. Motorists heading up canyon and mountain routes should be prepared for chain restrictions at any time during snow events.
