LOS ANGELES – The preseason media poll was announced this morning from the Pac-12 Conference Football Media Day with Utah voted to finish second in the South Division.
It is the second straight year that the Utes (209 points) have been projected to finish second in the South, tying its best preseason media ranking since joining the Pac-12 in 2011. USC (225) was picked to win the South for the second consecutive year, earning 22 first-place votes, while the Utes notched 14 first-place votes for second.
Arizona (178) was picked third with UCLA (116), Colorado (80) and Arizona State (72) rounding out the South Division. Washington was picked to come away victorious in the North in 2018 along with 37 votes to win the Pac-12 Championship game.
Stanford (198) was picked second behind the Huskies with Oregon (178), California (108), Washington State (98) and Oregon State (45) wrapping up the North Division.
Chase Hansen, Lo Falemaka and head coach Kyle Whittingham will participate Pac-12 Media Day today and join the rest of the team for the start of fall camp on Aug. 1.
