LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State, Weber State and Utah Valley women’s volleyball were named as three of only 164 Division I (out of 351 possible schools) honored with the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.

This is the fourth consecutive year the Aggies have been recognized for their academic excellence.

Overall, 973 volleyball playing schools were recognized, including NCAA Division I, II and III schools, two-year colleges and high schools.

This award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams displaying excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 GPA.

Utah State head coach Grayson DuBose mentioned he is proud of his team’s efforts both on the court and in the classroom after discovering the Aggies earned this distinction.
