CASTLE DALE, Utah-Garrett Conover netted 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound and the Emery Spartans waxed North Sanpete 3-1 in Region 13 baseball play Friday.

MANTI, Utah-Gannon Labrum drove in three runs and the Union Cougars routed Manti 12-0 Friday in Region 13 baseball play. Ryan Oakey netted seven strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cougars.

Region 14

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Jack Merrill drove in three runs and the Canyon View Falcons downed Richfield 10-4 Friday in the first game of a Region 14 baseball doubleheader. Merrill netted four strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons. Garrett Wayman drove in two runs in defeat for the Wildcats.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Noah Sandoval homered and the Canyon View Falcons completed a Region 14 baseball doubleheader sweep of Richfield with a 15-11 win over the Wildcats Friday. Austin Woolsey netted a strikeout in 2.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons. Garrett Wayman drove in three runs in the loss for the Wildcats.

HERRIMAN, Utah-Drake Quackenbush drove in two runs and the Delta Rabbits edged Providence Hall 4-3 in the first game of a Region 14 baseball doubleheader Friday. Kyler Davies netted eight strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rabbits. Vincent Dutton, Kale Mayne and Pierce Taylor drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Patriots.

HERRIMAN, Utah-Kale Mayne and Pierce Taylor drove in two runs apiece and the Providence Hall Patriots got past Delta 8-5 Friday to earn a Region 14 baseball split against the Rabbits. Dallas Loutensock netted five strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Providence Hall. Bodey Shurtz drove in two runs in the loss for Delta.

2A North

DUCHESNE, Utah-Payson Davis and Scottie Branson drove in two runs apiece and the Duchesne Eagles gashed Millard 7-4 Friday in the first game of a 2A North baseball doubleheader. Wyatt Christensen netted two strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Duchesne Eagles. Cyson Kunz drove in two runs in the loss for the Millard Eagles.

DUCHESNE, Utah-Kamdyn Frampton and Ammon Memmott drove in three runs apiece and the Millard Eagles earned a 2A North baseball split against Duchesne with a 19-9 win Friday. Cyson Kunz netted four strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Millard. Nashden Goodliffe and Payson Davis drove in three runs apiece in the loss for the Duchesne Eagles.

2A East

MONROE, Utah-Grady Heaps drove in a pair of runs and the South Sevier Rams blanked Monticello 4-0 Friday in 2A East baseball play. Jax Christiansen recorded 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rams.

GUNNISON, Utah-Landry Edwards homered and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs dismantled North Sevier 8-2 in 2A East baseball play Friday. Waylon Sorenson recorded 16 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. Zander Christiansen had an RBI in the loss for the Wolves.

2A South

KANAB, Utah-Brogun Virostko drove in five runs and the Kanab Cowboys pounded Milford 19-0 in 2A South baseball play Friday. Kyan Lyman posted four strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cowboys.

HILDALE, Utah-Raider Blomquist homered twice and Bridger Blackner also went yard as the Beaver Beavers drilled Water Canyon 19-5 Friday in 2A South baseball play. Sam Smith netted seven strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Beavers.

Region 13

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Halie Eliason homered and the North Sanpete Hawks edged Emery 4-3 in Region 13 softball play Friday. Kaecee Johnson netted 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Hawks. Elly Stilson homered in the loss for the Spartans.

Region 15

GUNNISON, Utah-Atley Coates and Dawdree Olsen drove in three runs apiece and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs routed ALA 16-1 Friday in Region 15 softball play. Brylee Wojtech posted a strikeout in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Bulldogs. Avia Moreno drove in a run in defeat for the Eagles.

1A

JUNCTION, Utah-Destri Morrill homered and the Piute Thunderbirds routed Monticello 17-0 in the first game of a 1A softball doubleheader Friday. Alayna Severe netted five strikeouts in four inning of work to earn the win in the circle for the Thunderbirds.

JUNCTION, Utah-Alayna Severe homered and the Piute Thunderbirds blew past Monticello 19-5 Friday to complete a 1A softball doubleheader sweep of the Buckaroos. Sam McDonald drove in a pair of runs in the loss for Monticello.

BICKNELL, Utah-Cassie Rees homered twice and the Wayne Badgers smoked Panguitch 16-7 Friday in 1A softball play. Rylan Taylor netted 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Badgers. Lillee Torgerson drove in three runs in the loss for the Badgers.

ALTAMONT, Utah-Jaidyn McMullin homered and the Milford Tigers got past Altamont 12-9 in the first game of a 1A softball doubleheader Friday. McMullin netted 10 strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Milford. Corryn Webb drove in two runs in the loss for the Longhorns.

ALTAMONT, Utah-Lacie Long drove in five runs and the Altamont Longhorns smoked Milford 26-9 to secue a 1A softball split against the Tigers Friday. Hazlie Bagley netted three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Altamont. Miley Willden drove in two runs in the loss for the Tigers.

2A First Round Playoffs

MOAB, Utah-Jonathan Gonzalez and Desmond Howard drove in a run apiece and the No. 12 Grand County Red Devils waxed No. 21 Parowan 5-1 Friday in the first round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs. The Red Devils next visit  No. 5 Millard Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

RIVERDALE, Utah-Jake Christensen and Crew Evans scored two goals apiece and the No. 19 Enterprise Wolves upset No. 14 Utah Military Hill Field 4-2 in the first round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Friday. The Wolves next visit No. 3 Rowland Hall Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

No. 17 Wasatch Academy 2  No. 16 American Prep West Valley 0-The Tigers visit No. 1 Maeser Prep Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Carter Warburton posted 17 kills and the Carbon Dinos surged past Wasatch Academy 3-1 in non-region boys volleyball Friday. The Dinos bested the Tigers 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 25-13 to obtain the victory.
