Dillon Maggard To Sign Pro Contract With Brooks

LOGAN, Utah-Monday, former Utah State track and field and cross country star Dillon Maggard signed a professional running contract with Brooks Running and will compete for the Brooks Beasts Track Club.

The Kirkland, Wash. native’s contract will last for three and a half years, per utahstateaggies.com.

Other members of this squad include 2015 USA championships qualifier, Hannah Fields, 2013 USA 1-mile road title winner Garrett Heath, 2010 NCAA 1500 meter indoor track runner-up Katie Mackey, 2013 NCAA 1500-meter outdoor track champion Natalja Piliusina, 7-time NCAA All-American Jess Tonn, 6-time NCAA Division II 800-meter champion Drew Windle, 2013 NCAA outdoor track 800-meter third place finisher Brannon Kidder, 2016 Olympic Trials competitor Baylee Mires and 2016 NCAA cross country All-American Izaic Yorks.

USU cross country head coach Artie Gulden showed his appreciation for Maggard’s accomplishment, saying it’s great that “making a living as a runner is a possibility.”
