(St. George, UT) — A bill requiring helmets for people on e-bikes is now awaiting a signature by Governor Spencer Cox. HB381 has already passed the House and Senate. In addition to a helmet requirement, it also makes it easier for police to impound an e-bike if a kid is being unsafe. For parents like Debbie Prince, it’s an issue that’s all too real. She tells KSL that her daughter suffered life-altering injuries after she crashed an e-bike while not wearing a helmet in St. George. She says wearing a helmet “would have made the highest difference.”
