Trenton Virga’s 16 points and 9 rebounds on 7/14 from the floor led the Bobcats in defeat. Rich next plays in the 1A state championship game Saturday at 6:30 pm against No. 6 Bryce Valley. Panguitch next plays in the 3rd place game Saturday at 2:30 pm against No. 2 Wayne.

1A Consolation Bracket @ SLCC
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Hudson Bair’s 21 points on 8/14 from the floor led the way and the No. 4 Manila Mustangs surged past No. 8 Valley 53-43 in the 1A consolation bracket Friday at Bruins Arena on the campus of Salt Lake Community College Taylorsville Redwood. Holden Harris netted 15 points and 7 rebounds on 7/12 from the floor in the loss for the Buffalos. Manila next faces No. 3 Piute Saturday at 11:00 am for third place at Bruins Arena.
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Brodee Montague netted 20 points and 6 rebounds and the No. 3 Piute Thunderbirds outlasted No. 7 Green River 53-49 Friday at Bruins Arena in the 1A consolation bracket. Rolando Anguiano scored 17 points in the loss for the Pirates.

Tayt Miller netted 16 points on 4/7 behind the arc in the loss for the Bobcats. Rich next plays for a 1A state championship Saturday at 4:30 pm at Bruins Arena against. Panguitch next plays Saturday at 1:00 pm in the 3rd place game at Bruins Arena against No. 3 Tabiona. Panguitch faces No. 2 Wayne Saturday at 1:00 pm for 3rd place at Bruins Arena.
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Joy Gines netted 19 points and 6 rebounds and the No. 3 Tabiona Tigers outlasted No. 2 Wayne 48-46 at Bruins Arena Friday in the 1A state semifinals. AJ VanDyke posted 27 points and 10 rebounds on 9/14 from the floor and 5/8 from range as well as 4/4 at the foul line in defeat for the Badgers.
