(Salt Lake City, UT) — The longtime head coach of the Utah Utes football program says he’s in the transfer portal. Kyle Whittingham announced his resignation last week, but now he’s talking about his next move. For now, he’s not sure. The 66-year-old might retire, but he’s open to new offers from other teams. Even though he had one year left on his contract with Utah, he felt now was the right time to leave. After 20 years, he doesn’t want to overstay his welcome. He still has one more Utes game to coach on New Year’s Eve. That’s when Utah faces Nebraska in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl.
