LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State men’s basketball senior forward Garry Clark was named the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Clark, a native of St. Louis, averaged 16.5 points and 9 rebounds per game while shooting just under 91 percent from the floor for the Aggies in wins over Weber State and UTEP.
Clark and his Utah State teammates return to action at the Shriner’s Children’s Charleston Classic of Charleston, S.C. to face Tulane on Friday.
Additionally, Utah State men’s basketball head coach Jerrod Calhoun announced the signing of guard Bryce Mella, currently a star at American Fork High School.
Last season, Mella averaged 17.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for the Cavemen.
Mella plans to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after graduating from American Fork High School this upcoming spring before enrolling at Utah State.
