ARLINGTON, Texas-Monday, Utah Tech sophomore guard Chance Trujillo was named as the WAC Newcomer of the Week by the conference.

The Snow College transfer out of Kaysville, Utah and Davis High School averaged 13.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game against South Dakota, Bethesda (Calif.), Arizona and Arizona State this past week as the Trailblazers went 2-2.

This week, Utah Tech competes against Manhattan, Mississippi Valley State and host Hawai’i at the OUTRIGGER Rainbow Classic at Honolulu.
