OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State athletics announced head football coach Mickey Mental. The Wildcats have appointed Brent Myers as the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2025 season.

A national search for the new head coach will begin immediately.

Serving as the Wildcats’ head coach for the past three seasons, Mental posted a record of 13-20 (.393) and 8-14 (.363) in Big Sky Conference games.

Myers has served on the Wildcats staff since 2014 and has been a part of a staff that has led the Wildcats to six NCAA FCS postseason appearances in his tenure.

Myers’ first game as interim head coach for the 3-7 (1-5 in Big Sky play) Wildcats is Saturday at Idaho State.
