3A State Semifinals @ Southern Utah University

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Everett Kelling threw a touchdown pass and ran for two more scores and the No. 1 Cedar Reds outlasted the No. 4 Juab Wasps 23-16 Friday in the 3A state semifinals at Eccles Coliseum on the campus of Southern Utah University. Brock Richards ran for 142 yards and a score on 24 carries in defeat for the Wasps. Cedar next faces No. 3 Manti November 15 at 10:00 am at Zions Bank Stadium of Herriman for the 3A state championship game.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Carter Mason completed 28 of 40 passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns and the No. 3 Manti Templars upset No. 2 Morgan 42-28 in the 3A state semifinals at Eccles Coliseum Friday. Stone Mortensen (10 rec, 144 yards, TD) and Ty Pringle (5 rec, 104 yards, TD) also had strong showings in victory for the Templars, who outgained the Trojans 432-323. Kanyon Leonelli ran for a pair of scores in defeat for the Trojans.

Eight-Player State Semifinals @ Southern Utah University

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Jett Holmes netted 226 yards of total offense and five net touchdowns as the No. 1 Rich Rebels clobbered No. 4 Whitehorse 50-8 in the Eight-Player state semifinals Friday at Eccles Coliseum. Lance Tsinigine ran for a score in defeat for the Raiders. Rich next faces No. 2 Milford November 15 at 1:00 pm at Zions Bank Stadium for the state championship.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Boston Sullivan hauled in four receptions for 151 yards and four touchdowns and No. 2 Milford hammered No. 6 Monticello 83-24 Friday in the Eight-Player state semifinals at Eccles Coliseum. Landon Shumway ran for 109 yards and three scores in defeat for the Buckaroos.
