One person is dead after a paragliding accident in Sevier County. According to Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis, a 65-year-old male from Weston Massachusetts, crashed while taking off from the Thompson Basin launch area on Sunday. Search and Rescue responded to the scene but the flyer succumbed to his injuries, despite best efforts by medical personnel. No other information has been released at this time.
