(Cedar City, UT) — A Cedar City man is in trouble for allegedly abusing his own child. The Division of Child and Family Services says they were called to the five-year-old girl’s school when staff members noticed “an obvious human bite mark” on her arm. Police later interviewed the child and father, with both saying the bite took place during “horseplay” and he often bites the child during those times. However, police told the father about concerns over how long the bite marks remain visible, and amounted it to child abuse. The father was taken to Iron County Jail, but was later released.
