CEDAR CITY, Utah-Rafael Contreras made the game-winning 40-yard field goal as time expired and the North Sanpete Hawks edged Canyon View 17-14 Friday in 3A South play at Falcon Stadium as the Hawks spoiled Homecoming for the Falcons. Maddox Madsen threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score in victory for the Hawks as they improved to 4-1 and 1-1 in 3A South play. Meanwhile, Canyon View fell to 3-2 and 1-1 in 3A South play. Ryder Miller threw touchdown passes to Brock Neighbors and Caden Greenland in defeat for the Falcons.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Everett Kelling ran for three scores and tossed a pair of touchdown passes as the Cedar Reds smoked Manti 51-27 Friday in 3A South football play. Tala Taulapapa ran for four scores in the loss for the Templars.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Cordon White and Colton White each threw a touchdown pass and the Richfield Wildcats smoked Carbon 39-7 in 3A South football play Friday. Colton White also ran for a score, as did Trey Yardley, Temana Vaukatakakala and Derek Barton in the rout for Richfield. Kayden Dunn threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to Trace Crespin in defeat for the Dinos.

Non-Region

BLUFFDALE, Utah-Preston Mackowiak threw four touchdown passes and the Summit Academy Bears clobbered Delta 42-14 in non-region football play Friday. Bodey Shurtz had scoring runs of 60 and 7 yards in the loss for the Rabbits.

MILFORD, Utah-Carson Cheney threw two touchdown passes and the Milford Tigers pounded Lincoln County (Nev.) 46-6 Friday in non-region football play. Kyzler Merryweather added a pair of scoring runs in the rout for Milford.

NEPHI, Utah-Price Armstrong threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Payton Myers and Armstrong ran for the game-winning 2-point conversion as the Juab Wasps edged Grantsville 36-35 in non-region football play Friday. Armstrong threw three touchdown passes overall on the night and ran for another score in victory for the Wasps. Rigdon Murdoch ran for three scores in the loss for the Cowboys.

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Bridger Bradshaw threw four touchdown passes and the South Sevier Rams decimated ALA 48-3 in non-region football play Friday. Masen Healey and Connor Castle added scoring runs in the rout for the Rams and Castle also caught a pair of scoring tosses from Bradshaw in victory.

COALVILLE, Utah-Hayden Gubler ran for four scores and the Kanab Cowboys routed North Summit 41-13 Friday in non-region football play. Kanon Virostko added a touchdown pass to Kyle Brown in the win for the Cowboys. Tayton Pace threw two touchdown passes in the loss for the Braves.

BEAVER, Utah-Davin Orton threw a touchdown pass and ran for two more scores as the Beaver Beavers clobbered Millard 41-0 in non-region football play Friday. Leonardo de Leon, Bridger Blackner and Jex Bradshaw also ran for an additional score apiece in victory for Beaver.

GUNNISON, Utah-Hunter Bettridge threw two touchdown passes to Gradey Osborne and the Parowan Rams edged Gunnison Valley 14-13 Friday in non-region football play. Talan Dyreng threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score in the loss for the Bulldogs.

SALINA, Utah-Jett Holmes threw a touchdown pass and returned an interception for a score as the Rich Rebels downed North Sevier 30-20 in non-region football play Friday. Houston Mickelsen threw two touchdown passes and Zander Christiansen ran five yards for another score in the loss for the Wolves.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Payson Harris drove in two runs and the Valley Buffalos edged Piute 4-3 in 1A South baseball play Friday. Harris netted three strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Valley. Braige Beus drove in two runs in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

PRICE, Utah-Brace Syrett drove in three runs and the Bryce Valley Mustangs clobbered Pinnacle 23-0 Friday in 1A South baseball play. Mason Ahlstrom netted five strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Bryce Valley.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Camden Englestead, Traiger Ramsay and Hudson Burningham drove in two runs apiece and the Panguitch Bobcats pummeled Wayne 15-0 in 1A South baseball play Friday. Quade Veater netted three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Panguitch.
