(Salt Lake City, UT) — Heat continues to build across Utah, with highs reaching 106 to 108 through today. An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for Lower Washington County due to the prolonged high temperatures. Meanwhile, monsoon moisture is moving across the Wasatch Front, bringing increasing chances through the weekend statewide. Some storms could produce heavy downpours and flash flooding, particularly in southern Utah and spreading north by weekend’s end. Next week, temperatures may drop to the 80s for parts of the Wasatch Front and remain in the 90s for southwestern Utah.
