Girls Soccer
Region 12
MANTI, Utah-Erin Hallows scored twice and the Canyon View Falcons outlasted Manti 3 (4) -3 (3) on penalty kicks in the extra session in Region 12 girls soccer play Tuesday. McKinzee Chidester scored twice in the loss for Manti. Taylie Mickelsen also found the net in defeat for the Templars.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Isabell Nielson and Sydney Brown each scored and the Richfield Wildcats blanked North Sanpete 2-0 Tuedsay in Region 12 girls soccer play. Zeze Lafaele earned the shutout in the net in victory for Richfield.
Non-Region
NEPHI, Utah-Rowdie Savage recorded five goals and the Juab Wasps bludgeoned South Sevier 13-0 Tuesday in non-region girls soccer play. RaeLee Bosh added four more goals in the rout for Juab while Cambree Hall (2 goals), Serene Dye and Elli Abbott (goal apiece) also scored for the Wasps. Charly Warner recorded the shutout in the net for Juab in victory.

Region 18
MONTICELLO, Utah-The Beaver Beavers won the first Region 18 boys golf tournament of the season with a 330 score at The Hideout in Monticello. South Sevier and Grand County tied for second with a score of 354, Parowan came in fourth with a 389, followed by Kanab in fifth for 397, Enterprise finished sixth with a 420 and San Juan rounded out the team scores with a 485.
Individually, Beaver’s Statton Cox won the tournament with a 78, his teammate Ledger Jones placed second with an 82. Ayden Nielson of South Sevier, McCoy Jones of Enterprise and Tristan Bane of Grand County all tied for third by each shooting an 84 to round out the top five.
