3A State Tournament @ UVU

Bracket 1

OREM, Utah-Chandler McClellan drove in three runs and the No. 1 Canyon View Falcons downed No. 12 Emery 13-1 Tuesday at UCCU Ballpark in Bracket 1 play at the 3A state tournament. Brady Anderson recorded 12 strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons. Hayden Abrams drove in a run in the loss for the Spartans.

One-Loss Bracket 

OREM, Utah-Kanyon Leonelli and Lincoln Gilson drove in two runs apiece and the No. 4 Morgan Trojans outlasted No. 11 North Sanpete 11-10 to eliminate the Hawks in 3A one-loss bracket play in Bracket 1 Tuesday at UCCU Ballpark. Karson Black secured the win for the Trojans by pitching the bottom half of the 7th Inning and maintaining the lead. Gage Oldroyd drove in two runs in the loss for the Hawks. Morgan next faces

OREM, Utah-Koen Mattinson drove in two runs and the No. 2 Juab Wasps overpowered No. 11 Richfield 8-2 Tuesday in Bracket 2 play at UCCU Ballpark. Connor Cowan recorded 12 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wasps. Bridger Vincent drove in a run in the loss for the Wildcats. Juab next plays Wednesday at 4:30 pm and Richfield plays Grantsville Wednesday at 11:00 am in the one-loss bracket.

One-Loss Bracket

OREM, Utah-Guhner Kimber drove in two runs and the No. 7 Grantsville Cowboys eliminated No. 3 Union 7-6 Tuesday in the 3A one-loss bracket in Bracket 2 play at UCCU Ballpark. Jaxxon Jensen pitched 0.1 innings to secure the lead for Grantsville when coming on the mound to secure the win for the Cowboys. Tyson Marx, Jaxon Christensen, Chase Nielson, Cade Frandsen, Gavin Roberts and Dylan Watahomigie each drove in a run in the loss for the Cougars. Grantsville next plays Wednesday at 11:00 am in the one-loss bracket against
