MANTI, Utah-Connor Cowan homered and the Juab Wasps got past Manti 8-5 in Region 12 baseball play Monday. Corbin Buchanan posted 12 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wasps. Colt Madsen drove in three runs in defeat for the Templars.

Softball

Region 12

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Rylee Stewart homered and the North Sanpete Hawks routed Canyon View 11-1 Monday in Region 12 softball play. Shea Rawlinson posted five strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Hawks. Peyton King homered in defeat for the Falcons.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Dakoda Cheney belted a grand slam and the Manti Templars outgunned Richfield 18-11 in Region 12 softball play Monday. Danie Alder netted seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Templars. Macie Barton homered in the loss for the Wildcats.

2A Central

DUCHESNE, Utah-Madi Larsen drove in two runs and the Duchesne Eagles outlasted Gunnison Valley 5-4 Monday in the first game of a 2A Central softball doubleheader. Maile Ha’o homered in the loss for the Bulldogs.

DUCHESNE, Utah-Chezney Farnsworth and Prezley Farnsworth homered and the Duchesne Eagles bested Gunnison Valley 5-3 to complete a 2A Central softball doubleheader sweep of the Bulldogs Monday. Kira Grant netted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Duchesne. Molli Barney homered in defeat for Gunnison Valley.

Non-Region

KAMAS, Utah-Jayvien Clegg homered twice and Adeline Aste also went yard as the South Summit Wildcats smacked Juab 14-3 in non-region softball play Monday. Toshlyn Louder recorded a strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Wildcats. Livia Topham drove in two runs in defeat for the Wasps.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Ansley Brown drove in three runs and the Wayne Badgers routed Panguitch 17-3 Monday in non-region softball play. Rylan Taylor posted nine strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Badgers. Kadee Harland homered in defeat for the Bobcats.

PROVO, Utah-Nelly Gongora and Natalie Burgin homered and the Timpview Thunderbirds edged North Sevier 12-11 in non-region softball play Monday. Payton Bailey homered in the loss for the Wolves.

Boys Volleyball

Non-Region

NEPHI, Utah-Noah Bailey, Alvin Kuan, Zachary Morrell and Owen Bailey recorded 3 kills apiece and the Juab Wasps blanked Wasatch Academy 3-0 Monday in non-region boys volleyball play. Morrell, Bailey and Ethan Tuckett had three assists each in victory for Juab. The Wasps prevailed over the Tigers in straight sets 25-15, 25-9, 25-11.
