Richfield High School Stars Advance To The Next Level Thursday

RICHFIELD, Utah-Thursday, a pair of Richfield High School star athletes signed national letter of intents to continue athletic competition at the collegiate level.

Coleman Thorson, a Wildcats star in football, wrestling and track and field has signed to compete locally at Snow College, as a wrestler for the Badgers at the Richfield campus.

The 6-foot 275-pound Thorson placed third at the 3A state wrestling tournament at 285 pounds this past winter at Utah Valley University.

Additionally, Wildcats star girls swimmer Avah Kling has signed with the NCAA Division II East Stroudsburg (Pa.) Warriors of East Stroudsburg, Pa.

At the 3A state swim meet this past winter at Brigham Young University, Kling won state titles in the 200-yard freestyle (altitude adjusted) and the 200-yard freestyle finals.
