(Salt Lake City, UT) — A measure that would ban so-called political flags from being displayed on government property has passed the State Senate. The measure’s Republican sponsors say it is aimed at “neutralizing” political messages in government spaces, and would include Pride flags. However, they would still be allowed in schools as part of lesson plans.
