(Salt Lake City, UT) — A new bill in Utah aims to regulate generative AI in police reports. Senate Bill 180 requires law enforcement agencies to have policies on AI use and provide disclaimers if AI is used in creating reports. Additionally, such documents must be reviewed for accuracy. The bill passed the Senate and a House committee and is now heading to the full House for consideration.
