Region 20 Tournament @ Panguitch High School
PANGUITCH, Utah-The No. 6 Bryce Valley Mustangs routed No. 7 Escalante 72-51 Friday in the 1-loss semifinals Friday at Panguitch High School in the Region 20 tournament. The Mustangs play Wayne or Valley for 5th Saturday at 10:00 am at Panguitch High School.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Maddix Johnson posted 19 points and the No. 1 Panguitch Bobcats edged No. 5 Valley 50-47 Friday at the Region 20 Tournament. Jace Cox had a game-high 25 points in the loss for the Buffalos.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Brodee Montague posted 24 points and the No. 3 Piute Thunderbirds edged No. 2 Milford 66-63 in the Region 20 Tournament. Sadler Barnes posted 35 points in the loss for the Tigers.

3A Second Round Playoffs
MORGAN, Utah-Eva Birkeland posted 13 points on 4-7 from the field and the No. 4 Morgan Trojans waxed No. 13 North Sanpete 58-27 Friday in the second round of the 3A state playoffs. Malia Schlappi’s 9 points led the Hawks in the loss. Morgan next plays February 24 at 9:10 pm in the state quarterfinals at Utah Valley University against No. 5 Emery.
NEPHI, Utah-Hailee Hall posted 15 points and the No. 7 Juab Wasps edged No. 10 Manti 49-46 in the second round of the 3A state playoffs Friday. Cadee Alder posted 13 points in defeat for the Templars. Juab next plays No. 2 Canyon View February 24 at 5:50 pm in the state quarterfinals.
GRANTSVILLE, Utah-Baylee Lowder posted 28 points and the No. 1 Grantsville Lady Cowboys hammered No. 17 Delta 61-33 Friday at the Ace Williams Gymnasium in the second round of the 3A state playoffs. Madison Eliason and Joslyn Christiansen had 9 points apiece in the loss for the Rabbits. Grantsville next plays No. 8 Judge February 24 at 7:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at Utah Valley University.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Maylee Spencer recorded 19 points and the No. 2 Canyon View Falcons routed No. 15 Juan Diego 64-38 in the second round of the 3A state playoffs Friday. Ayen Kuath’s 16 points led the Soaring Eagle in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Abbee Albrecht’s 18 points led the way and the No. 6 Richfield Wildcats downed No. 11 Union 51-46 Friday in the second round of the 3A state playoffs. Lisa Richards led the Cougars in the loss with 16 points. Richfield next faces No. 3 South Summit February 24 at 4:10 pm in the state quarterfinals at Utah Valley University.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Katelyn Nielson posted 15 points and 5 rebounds and the No. 5 Emery Spartans clobbered No. 12 Ogden 61-24 in the second round of the 3A state playoffs Friday. Lily Gonzalez led the Tigers in the loss with 6 points.
SALT LAKE CITY-Makena Gardner and Munah Doe posted 9 points apiece and the No. 8 Judge Bulldogs downed No. 9 Layton Christian 53-36 Friday in the second round of the 3A state playoffs. Ruby Knight-Paris led the Eagles in defeat with a game-high 13 points.
KAMAS, Utah-Emma Broadbent netted 30 points and the No. 3 South Summit Wildcats outlasted No. 14 Carbon 52-50 in double overtime in the second round of the 3A state playoffs Friday. Jacie Jensen led the Dinos in the loss with 13 points.

OGDEN, Utah-Lizzie Randal posted 19 points and the No. 8 St. Joseph Jayhawks smoked No. 9 American Heritage 55-29 in the second round of the 2A state playoffs Friday. Gentry Fallon’s 7 points led the Patriots in the loss. St. Joseph next faces No. 1 North Summit Thursday at 7:30 pm in the 2A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
DUCHESNE, Utah-Kira Grant and Chezney Farnsworth had 17 points apiece and the No. 5 Duchesne Eagles pounded No. 21 Maeser Prep 63-21 Friday in the second round of the 2A state playoffs. Lillian Nolan led the Lions in defeat with 10 points. Duchesne faces No. 4 Draper APA Thursday at 9:10 pm in the 2A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center in the battle of the Eagles.

Alyssa Rosquist led the Wolves in the loss with 6 points. South Sevier next faces No. 6 Beaver Thursday at 4:10 pm in the 2A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.

COALVILLE, Utah-Hartylnn Richins stepped up with 17 points, 8 assists, 7 steals and 5 rebounds and the No. 1 North Summit Braves clobbered No. 16 Water Canyon 68-24 in the second round of the 2A state playoffs Friday. Martha Jessop led the Wildcats in the loss with 13 points.
KANAB, Utah-Savannah Bateman netted 19 points and the No. 2 Kanab Lady Cowboys lassoed No. 18 San Juan 73-28 Friday in the second round of the 2A state playoffs. Hayden Shumway led the Broncos with 10 points in the loss.
DRAPER, Utah-Kandise Archuleta posted 23 points and the No. 4 Draper APA Eagles blasted No. 13 Gunnison Valley 77-23 in the second round of the 2A state playoffs Friday. Rylee Bartholomew led the Bulldogs in the loss with 7 points.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Katie Hatch stepped up with 14 points and the No. 2 Panguitch Bobcats humbled No. 3 Valley 45-34 Friday at Panguitch High School in the Region 20 Tournament. Lindsey Franklin led the Buffalos in the loss with 14 points.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Cashae Tebbs netted 17 points and the No. 6 Bryce Valley Mustangs tripped up No. 7 Escalante 46-38 in the Region 20 Tournament Friday at Panguitch High School. Rylee Frei led the Moquis in defeat with 11 points.
