3A State Playoffs 1st Round
BLUFFDALE, Utah-Madison Eliason led the way with 17 points and the No. 17 Delta Rabbits upset No. 16 Summit Academy 47-41 Tuesday in the first round of the 3A girls basketball state playoffs. Reagan Morgan and Vanessa Mansfield had 10 points apiece in the loss for the Bears. Delta next visits No. 1 Grantsville Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
2A State Playoffs 1st Round
GUNNISON, Utah-Rylee Bartholomew netted 16 points and 13 rebounds and the No. 13 Gunnison Valley Bulldogs clobbered No. 20 Salt Lake Academy 54-16 Tuesday in the first round of the 2A girls basketball state playoffs. Autumn Anderson added 14 points and 13 rebounds in the win for the Bulldogs. Aisha Carreon and Lovely Cisneros had 6 points apiece in the loss for the Griffins. Gunnison Valley next visits No. 4 Draper APA Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
HILDALE, Utah-Martha Jessop posted 15 points and the No. 16 Water Canyon Wildcats edged No. 17 Millard 47-42 in the first round of the 2A girls basketball state playoffs Tuesday. Blakelie Davies had a game-high 24 points in the loss for the Eagles. The Wildcats next face No. 1 North Summit Friday in the second round of the state playoffs at 7:00 pm.
SALINA, Utah-Meagan Mecham led the way with 11 points and the No. 14 North Sevier Wolves pounded No. 19 Rockwell 55-19 Tuesday in the first round of the 2A girls basketball state playoffs. Cassidy Jessop’s 9 points led the Marshals in the loss. North Sevier next visits No. 3 South Sevier Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
SANDY, Utah-Lillian Nolan posted 17 points and the No. 21 Maeser Lions edged No. 12 Waterford 49-47 in the first round of the 2A girls state basketball playoffs Tuesday. Anne Howard led the Ravens in defeat with 18 points.
OGDEN, Utah-Abby Gough netted 16 points and the No. 8 St. Joseph Jayhawks pounded No. 25 Freedom Prep 65-11 Tuesday in the first round of the 2A girls state basketball playoffs. Julien Wallraff led the Eagles in defeat with 8 points. The Jayhawks next host No. 9 American Heritage Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Jaycee Barlow recorded 26 points and the No. 11 Enterprise Wolves routed No. 22 Rowland Hall 46-22 in the second round of the 2A girls state basketball playoffs Tuesday. Mina Bailey led the Winged Lions with 12 points in the loss. Enterprise next visits No. 6 Beaver Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Khimya Fullwood posted 21 points and the No. 18 San Juan Broncos routed No. 15 American Leadership 50-26 Tuesday in the second round of the 2A girls state basketball playoffs. Jacklynn Huff led the Eagles in defeat with 7 points. San Juan next visits No. 2 Kanab Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
SALT LAKE CITY-The No. 7 Intermountain Christian Lions clobbered No. 26 APA West Valley 59-21 in the second round of the 2A girls state basketball playoffs Tuesday. The Lions next host No. 10 Grand Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
MOAB, Utah-Trinity Bryant stepped up with 22 points and the No. 10 Grand Red Devils pounded No. 23 Merit 88-31 Tuesday in the second round of the 2A girls state basketball playoffs. Kya Snyder’s game-high 24 points led the Knights in the loss.
BEAVER, Utah-Danzee Bradshaw led the way with 12 points and the No. 6 Beaver Beavers routed No. 27 Utah Military Camp Williams 80-26 in the second round of the 2A girls state basketball playoffs Tuesday. Kassiana VanWagoner posted 15 points in the loss for the Marauders.

ESCALANTE, Utah-Sonata Griffin posted 11 points and the Escalante Moquis drilled Vanguard 51-34 in non-region girls basketball play Tuesday.
