Report: COVID Linked To Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Almost five years to the day since the first case of COVID was confirmed in the U.S., Utah researchers say the virus could be causing increased cases of chronic fatigue syndrome. A new study finds that six months or more after a COVID infection, people were seven-and-a-half times more likely to show signs for the syndrome. Some 13 to 58 percent of people who have suffered from long COVID meet the criteria for CFS and researchers think the two illnesses could be triggered by the same factors.
