A man is dead after crashing through a fence in Mt. Pleasant. Around 10:00 a.m. on Jan. 5, police responded to a crash on US-89 near 900 South were a vehicle had driven off the road and through the fence of an auto parts store. Police attempted life-saving efforts on a 68-year-old man, the sole occupant of the vehicle, but he was found to be dead. According to police, upon initial investigation, the crash did not appear to have the intensity that would cause the man to die. It was concluded that he may have had a medical issue that led to the crash. No foul play is suspected and the UHP is investigating.
