PROVO, Utah-Thursday, BYU men’s basketball head coach Kevin Young announced the addition of power forward Khadim Mboup to this season’s roster.

The 6-9 native of Dakar, Senegal comes to the Cougars’ program from NBA Academy Africa.

Mboup also has previous experience with Dakar-based A.S. Douanes and Zamalek SC Basketball of Giza, Egypt.

Last season, Mboup averaged 7.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game for NBA Academy Africa in the 2023 Road to BAL.

The Cougars return to action Friday by hosting Florida A&M in a non-conference tilt.
