Permits For Christmas Trees Now Available

(St. George, UT) — Southern Utahns can start preparing for the holiday season with a Christmas tree permit. Dixie National Forest says residents can start buying their permits online or in person at Ranger stations in St. George, Cedar City, Panguitch, and Escalante. The permits range from ten to 20 dollars depending on the size of the tree, with 20 feet being the maximum. Officials noted the entire tree has to be cut down and to not just remove the top of the tree. Harvest can take place from November 4th to New Year’s Eve.
