(Salt Lake City, UT) — Auto insurance is getting so expensive that many drivers in Utah do not consider taking out a policy. A recent study by Bankrate shows the average cost of full coverage car insurance is up 12-percent over last year. A decade ago about five-point-eight-percent of Utah drivers had no insurance. Today the number of uninsured in the state is about six-point-five percent. Those who have only liability coverage and get into a collision with an uninsured driver could be out some money. Other drivers can get uninsured motorist coverage to be protected for that, but it will cost extra on the monthly bill.
