(Beaver City, UT) — A suspect faces multiple charges following a high-speed pursuit in southern Utah on Saturday. It began when a Utah Highway Patrol trooper spotted a stolen pickup truck near Beaver City, and it sped away when the trooper tried to pull it over. The pursuit reached speeds of up to 100 miles-per-hour as the suspect swerved and blew through stop signs. The chase entered Sevier County, where the suspect’s tires were popped by spike strips. He was arrested and identified as 19-year-old David Amaya.
