WEST JORDAN, Utah-Cade Frandsen drove in a pair of runs and Peyton Marx added another RBI as the No. 7 Union Cougars upset No. 2 Juab 3-2 Monday in bracket play at Cate Field. Marx netted four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cougars. Conner Cowan drove in two runs in the loss for the Wasps. Union next advances to Tuesday 3A bracket play against No. 6 Manti at 4:00 pm at Cate Field. The Wasps next play No. 14 North Sanpete Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the one-loss bracket.

WEST JORDAN, Utah-Reggie Frischknecht, Kayson Bailey  and Chase Keisel drove in 2 runs apiece and the No. 6 Manti Templars routed No. 14 North Sanpete 9-1 in bracket play at Cate Field Monday. Braxton Henningson posted three strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Manti. Aaron Costello drove in a run in the loss for the Hawks.

PROVO, Utah-Wade Stilson drove in three runs and the No. 8 Emery Spartans upset No. 1 Grantsville 9-7 Monday in bracket play at Miller Park. Stilson netted 10 strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Spartans. Krue Warren drove in three runs in the loss for the Cowboys. Emery next advances in 3A bracket play to a Tuesday opening pitch against No. 4 Canyon View at 6:30 pm at Miller Park. Grantsville next draws No. 5 Morgan Tuesday at 4:00 pm at Miller Park in the one-loss bracket.

PROVO, Utah-Asher Slack and Chandler McClellan each drove in a run and the No. 4 Canyon View Falcons downed No. 5 Morgan 3-1 Monday evening at Miller Park in 3A bracket play. Zach Millett posted eight strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons.
