PROVO, Utah-Friday, the first day of results at the BYU Invitational occurred at Robison Track with all Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network schools having participants competing. In a change from previous years, only finals occurred in each event. Delta’s Ebony Dodoo won the girls 100-meter hurdles championship in a time of 14.40. Manti’s Cadee Alder secured the girls javelin title with a toss of 132-6.

The team standings after Day 1, in boys competition, have West Jordan in first place with 26 points. Corner Canyon is second with 21 points and American Fork is third with 20 points. Among Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network schools, Manti is 20th with 6 points and Richfield is tied for 24th (2 points) with Farmington, Timpanogos, Summit Academy, Lyman (Wyo.), Woods Cross and Bishop Gorman (Nev.)

For the girls, American Fork is in first place with 51 points. Timpview and Snow Canyon are tied for second with 20 points apiece and Bingham is fourth with 19.5 points. Delta is the leader among Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network schools, tied for sixth place with Timpanogos and Star Valley (Wyo.) Each of these schools presently has 14 points apiece. Manti and Union are tied for 10th with 10 points apiece. North Sevier (8 points) is tied for 12th apiece with Corner Canyon, Evanston (Wyo.), Herriman and Sky View. Juab is tied for 27th place (2 points) with Orem, Preston (Idaho) and Westlake. South Sevier is presently in 31st place with 1.5 points.
