NEPHI, Utah-Kash Olsen and Russ Allred each scored and the No. 5 Juab Wasps outlasted No. 12 Emery 3-2 in the second round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Juab next visits No. 4 Carbon Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
PRICE, Utah-The No. 4 Carbon Dinos downed No. 13 Union 3-1 Wednesday in the second round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs. Junior Pineda scored in the loss for the Cougars.
MORGAN, Utah-Nathan Haws and Jett Beckstrom each scored twice and the No. 2 Morgan Trojans pummeled No. 15 Richfield 6-0 in the second round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Ronan Ratchford recorded the shutout in the net for the Trojans. Morgan next hosts No. 7 South Summit Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
KAMAS, Utah-Abram Martinez and Owen Alvarez each scored and the No. 7 South Summit Wildcats downed No. 10 Canyon View 2-1 in the second round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday.
EPHRAIM, Utah-Tanner Peacock and Tomas Reyes each scored twice and the No. 1 Manti Templars pounded No. 16 North Sanpete 6-0 Wednesday in second round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs at Terry Foote Stadium at Snow College. Kyle Steinfeldt and Tommy Bridges also scored in victory for Manti. David Peterson and Branson Cherry combined on the shutout for the Templars. Manti next hosts No. 8 Judge Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
SALT LAKE CITY-Kai Flickinger’s hat trick led the way and the No. 8 Judge Bulldogs routed No. 9 Delta 6-0 Wednesday in the second round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs. Patrick Bird recorded the shutout in the net for the Bulldogs in victory.
OGDEN, Utah-Levi Wilson, Brayden Wilson, Jace Rodriguez, Ben Points, Taylor Pierce, Adam Jenks, Gerardo Esquievel and Lincoln Barnes each scored and the No. 3 Ogden Tigers routed No. 14 Grantsville 8-0 in the second round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Xavier Peregrina earned the shutout in the net for the Tigers. Ogden next hosts No. 11 Juan Diego Saturday at 4:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
OGDEN, Utah-Danny Gutierrez scored twice and the No. 11 Juan Diego Soaring Eagle downed No. 6 Ben Lomond 3-2 Wednesday in the second round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs. Kevin Aguilar scored twice in the loss for the Scots.
2A Playoffs 2nd Round
AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Cael Tillman posted four goals and the No. 2 American Heritage Patriots clobbered No. 15 Wasatch Academy 8-0 Wednesday in the second round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs. The Patriots next host No. 10 APA West Valley Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
DRAPER, Utah-The No. 10 APA West Valley Eagles upset No. 7 Draper APA 3-1 in the second round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday.
OGDEN, Utah-Ammon Stanger and Sebastian Fiederer scored two goals apiece and the No. 1 St. Joseph Jayhawks routed No. 16 Freedom Prep 8-2 in the second round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. St. Joseph next hosts No. 8 Gunnison Valley Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
GUNNISON, Utah-Broadie Brock scored the sole goal of the game and the No. 8 Gunnison Valley Bulldogs edged No. 9 Beaver 1-0 in the second round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Edrick Salas earned the shutout in the net for the Bulldogs.
SALT LAKE CITY-The No. 5 Rowland Hall Winged Lions routed No. 12 Merit 8-1 Wednesday in the second round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs. Cruz Steinman scored in the loss for the Knights. Rowland Hall next hosts No. 13 Waterford Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
SALT LAKE CITY-The No. 13 Waterford Ravens blanked No. 4 Intermountain Christian 3-0 in the second round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday.
MOAB, Utah-The No. 14 ALA Eagles upset No. 3 Grand 1-0 in the second round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. The Eagles next visit No. 6 Maeser Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
LINDON, Utah-Aidan Simmons recorded a hat trick and the No. 6 Maeser Lions routed No. 11 Millard 6-0 Wednesday in the second round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs. McKay Brimhall earned the shutout in the net for the Lions.
