EPHRAIM, Utah-Alexis Shaver, Jettle Ioane and Kylee Ruesch each homered and the No. 6 Salt Lake Bruins surged past Snow 19-13 Thursday in the first game of a SWAC softball doubleheader. Tiffany Hermansen posted two strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Badgers. McCall Maxfield and Brenley Boydston homered in the loss for the Badgers.
EPHRAIM, Utah-Shelbee Jones and Jettle Ioane drove in three runs apiece and the No. 6 Salt Lake Bruins routed Snow 16-6 to complete a SWAC softball doubleheader sweep of the Badgers Thursday. McKenna Cahoon recorded five strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Bruins. Tasia Shibuya, McCall Maxfield and Kamryn Allen homered in defeat for Snow.
Following Thursday’s results, the Bruins improved to 39-7 and 31-4 in SWAC play while the Badgers fell to 30-22 and 15-16 in conference play.
