EPHRAIM, Utah-Markessa Jensen homered and the No. 9 Southern Idaho Golden Eagles blitzed Snow 20-9 Friday in the first game of a SWAC softball doubleheader. Abby Hayes posted three strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Golden Eagles. McCall Maxfield homered twice and Andrea Sweat, Kamryn Allen and Brenley Boydston also went yard in the loss for the Badgers.

EPHRAIM, Utah-Markessa Jensen and Tasha Hokanson homered and the No. 9 Southern Idaho Golden Eagles downed Snow 9-1, completing a SWAC softball doubleheader sweep of the Badgers Friday. Eva Stoddard posted three strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Golden Eagles. Andrea Sweat drove in a run in defeat for the Badgers.

Following Friday’s results, the Golden Eagles improved to 32-11 and 22-5 in SWAC play while Snow fell to 30-16 and 15-10 in SWAC play.

The squads meet again Saturday for a doubleheader with the first game slated for noon.
