GUNNISON, Utah-In news from Saturday, Austin Jackson, via his Facebook page, confirmed he has been hired as the new head football coach at Gunnison Valley High School.

Jackson, a former multi-sport standout at Manti High School as a scholatic athlete from 2010-2013, comes to the Bulldogs from Union High School, where he coached football the past two seasons as an assistant.

This job, wherein Jackson will also be a teacher at Gunnison Valley High School, is the first head coaching gig of his career.

Jackson expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to return to Sanpete County and be a head coach, via his remarks on Facebook.
