(Salt Lake City, UT) — State GOP Representative Phil Lyman is using Utah Road Rights to help launch into his 20-24 Gubernatorial bid. In a recent social media post the GOP lawmaker announced plans to propose a law in the senate that would strengthen legislation that dates back to 18-66 to help fight the closure of roads near Moab. The law states that counties are allowed to build roads on public lands for public use. Lyman is going up against Governor Spencer Cox for the upcoming governor’s election.
