Boys Basketball

Region 12

DELTA, Utah-Austin Thomas recorded 26 points and the Manti Templars bested Delta 66-57 Thursday in Region 12 boys basketball play at the Palladium. Cai Henderson led the Rabbits in the loss with 26 points.

Hodson Cancer Classic

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Cayleb Jackman netted 22 points and 15 rebounds and the Hurricane Tigers downed Panguitch 58-51 Thursday at the Hodson Cancer Classic at Canyon View High School. Cache Eyre recorded 31 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for the Bobcats.

Non-Region

TROPIC, Utah-Raul Valle led the way with 23 points and the Wendover Wildcats hammered Bryce Valley 74-54 in non-region boys basketball play Thursday. Zaren Roberts led the Mustangs with 16 points in the loss.

BICKNELL, Utah-Logan Rhoades netted 15 points and the Tabiona Tigers clobbered Wayne 65-34 Thursday in non-region boys basketball play. Blake Peterson and Jake Batty had 8 points apiece in the loss for the Tigers.

FILLMORE, Utah-Braxton Hooper stepped up with 19 points and the Juab Wasps pouned Millard 72-49 in non-region boys basketball play Thursday. Derk Memmott led the Eagles in the loss with 17 points.

Girls Basketball

Region 12

NEPHI, Utah-Madi Orth’s 15 points led the way and the Carbon Dinos edged Juab 56-55 in Region 12 girls basketball play Thursday. Ava Cuff’s game-high 25 points led the Wasps in the loss.

Hodson Cancer Classic

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Sydney Patterson and Kinley Jenson had 13 points apiece and the South Sevier Rams surged past host Canyon View 50-36 Thursday at the Hodson Cancer Classic. Maylee Spencer’s game-high 15 points led the Falcons in the loss.

Non-Region

KANAB, Utah-Rylee Little had 12 points and 11 rebounds and the Kanab Lady Cowboys routed Class 4A Hurricane 47-27 in non-region girls basketball play Thursday. Whitney Esplin led the Tigers with 9 points in the loss.

FILLMORE, Utah-Olivia Bassett netted 22 points and the Millard Eagles smacked Gunnison Valley 64-46 Thursday in non-region girls basketball play. Autumn Anderson had 16 points in defeat for the Bulldogs.

TROPIC, Utah-Kadence Murphy led the way with 13 points and the Wendover Wildcats downed Bryce Valley 43-35 in non-region girls basketball play Thursday. Cashae Tebbs and Alexandra Rauba had 10 points apiece in the loss for the Mustangs.

BICKNELL, Utah-Maycee Rhoades amassed 28 points and the Tabiona Tigers avenged their loss in last season’s 1A girls state championship game with a 60-40 win over Wayne Thursday. AJ VanDyke led the Badgers with 16 points in the loss.
