BLM Utah leadership unveiled the brand new Little Sahara Visitor Center in Juab County Sept. 28. The Visitor Center cost just over $2.1 million and was the result of a five year process and funded through the BLM Deferred Maintenance Program. The 3,100 square foot building boasts a 12KW photovoltaic array, self pay drop box, restrooms and a 220 square foot conference room. Two remote off grid kiosks serve customers by accepting credit card payments for camping and daily use fees. BLM State Director Greg Sheehan shared, “this place belongs to all of us, it’s our collective responsibility to protect it and manage it for future generations.”
