Thursday, Utah Tech football received three representatives on the all-United Athletic Conference preseason team.

Junior defensive lineman Syrus Webster, a native of West Jordan, Utah and a former West Jordan High School star, is the conference’s preseason defensive player of the year.

Trailblazers junior linebacker Will Leota, a former Salem Hills High School star, was added to the all-preseason defensive squad.

Utah Tech senior receiver Rickie Johnson was named to the all-preseason offensive team.

Webster posted 5.5 sacks for Utah Tech last season. Leota had 84 net tackles last season for Utah Tech while Johnson had 40 receptions for 697 yards and six scores last season for the Trailblazers.

Southern Utah was represented by redshirt junior offensive lineman Lyle Santos.
