SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, Utah sophomore tailback Ja’Quinden Jackson was named the 2023 recipient of the 22 Forever Memorial Scholarship for the second consecutive season.
This is a tradition honoring the deceased former Utes football players Ty Jordan & Aaron Lowe.
Each season, Utah players vote on those whom who should receive the scholarship based on a teammate who best epitomizes the spirit of Jordan & Lowe.
Jackson, a native of Tulsa, Okla., has selflessly done whatever the Utes have asked of him during his collegiate career, playing quarterback, tailback and on special teams.
Jackson netted 531 rushing yards and 8 scores last season for Utah.
Jackson and his Utah teammates begin the season August 31 by hosting Florida at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
