(Salt Lake City, UT) — The University of Utah Health Care is investigating an information security breach. Officials say the breach potentially involves some patients’ personal information. The University says its TMG Health security team discovered an unauthorized user downloading files on June 21st. Information that was potentially leaked included member’s banking information, Social Security numbers or medical treatment information. The University says they’re working with TMG to prevent further breaches and has mailed letters to those who were impacted on August 10th.
