(Cedar City, UT) — Southern Utah University is celebrating a gift from Utah’s leading homebuilder. Ivory Homes has donated 75-thousand dollars to fund a scholarship for students working to complete a Women Business Leadership Certificate. The Ivory Women Student Success Initiative will provide ten students a half-tuition scholarship and a one-thousand dollar stipend per semester. The students will take six credits of women leadership classes, attend conferences and events focused on women in business, participate in the Ivory Hack-a-House competition, and work closely with SUU’s Women in Business club. SUU School of Business Dean Mary Pearson said the program will further the students’ personal and professional development and allow them to see their leadership potential.
