The Magnificent 7 Revealed Tuesday At Mid-Utah Radio Sports Award Show & Banquet

RICHFIELD, Utah-Tuesday, Mid-Utah Radio celebrated this past athletics season with the annual Mid-Utah Radio Show Sports Awards Show & Banquet at the Sevier County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall of Richfield.

The magnificent 7 were revealed, or the awards for the following categories:

John Yardley Impact Award

Female Glue of the Team Award

Male Glue of the Team Award

Sports School of the Year

Coach of the Year

Female Athlete of the Year

Male Athlete of the Year

The winners in the respective categories are as follows:

John Yardley Impact Award

Piute High School principal Shauna Bagley. Bagley helped the Piute High School and Piute County community through tragedy amid the loss of a Piute High School student in January. She succinctly showed her gratitude for obtaining the award during her presentation moment.

Female Glue of the Team Award

Kember Johnson of Richfield Swim. She was presented by Richfield High School swim coach Christal Anderson.

Male Glue of the Team Award

Talmage ‘Taz’ Day of Juab boys basketball. Presented by his head coach Cam Wright, he is considered the “ultimate team player” in the Wasps’ program.

Mid-Utah Radio Sports School of the Year

The Millard Eagles. This past academic season, the Eagles captured 2A state titles in boys cross country and wrestling.

Coach of the Year

Devin Shakespear of Manti Boys Basketball. Shakespear led the Templars to the 3A state boys basketball championship this past February.

Female Athlete of the Year

Nicole Willardson of Richfield High School. The decorated Willardson will continue her athletic career at the next level via a scholarship in women’s basketball from Utah Tech University.

Male Athlete of the Year

Reggie Frischknecht of Manti High School. The talented Frischknecht excels in football, boys basketball and baseball for the Templars. Frischknecht played a key role in the Templars’ state championship in boys basketball.
