State Championship Game @ Gates Field (Kearns HS)
KEARNS, Utah-Wyatt Payton homered and the No. 1 Juab Wasps overpowered No. 6 Juan Diego 7-4 Saturday at Gates Field at Kearns High School to win the 3A state baseball championship. Cooper Ford drove in two more runs in victory for the Wasps. Cael Smith and Garrett Hofer also added an additional RBI apiece for the Wasps. Kanyon Mattinson posted two strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wasps. Matt Odell and Andrew Lombana drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the Soaring Eagle. This win breaks a 25-year state championship drought for the Wasps. This was Juab’s second all-time state title in baseball (1998, 2023). Juab ends the season at 25-3.
Elimination Game @ Gates Field (Kearns HS)
KEARNS, Utah-Malik Harris homered twice and the No. 6 Juan Diego Soaring Eagle downed No. 2 Carbon 5-2 in the 3A elimination bracket Saturday at Gates Field at Kearns High School. Zach Carlson posted seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Juan Diego. Chet Anderson and Ridge Nelson each drove in a run for Juan Diego in defeat. The Soaring Eagle next faces No. 1 Juab Saturday for a state championship.
2A
State Championship Game @ Miller Park (BYU)
PROVO, Utah-Griffen Bone and Jackson Riddle drove in two runs apiece and the No. 6 Kanab Cowboys pounded South Sevier 10-2 to capture the 2A state championship at Miller Park Saturday. Kash Kabonic posted a pair of strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cowboys. This was Kanab’s 4th all-time state baseball title. The Cowboys have won state championships in 1978, 1979, 2009 and 2023.
Elimination Game @ Miller Park (BYU)
PROVO, Utah-The No. 1 South Sevier Rams outgunned the No. 5 San Juan Broncos 16-10 Saturday at Miller Park on the campus of BYU in the 2A elimination game. The Rams next play No. 6 Kanab for a state championship Saturday. Garrett Young drove in three runs in the loss for the Broncos.

State Championship Game @ Spanish Fork Softball Complex
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Kenzie Allen and Chloe Bytheway each drove in two runs and the No. 1 Grantsville Lady Cowboys captured their sixth all-time state championship with a 10-0 win over No. 3 North Sanpete Saturday at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex. Bytheway’s 10 strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work earned her the win in the circle for the Lady Cowboys. This is Grantsville’s sixth all-time state championship in softball. The Lady Cowboys have won state championships in 1998, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023.
Elimination Game @ Spanish Fork Softball Complex
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Dally Bailey and Lucy Oldroyd each homered and the No. 3 North Sanpete Hawks pounded No. 12 Manti Saturday at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex in the 3A elimination game. Katelyn Johnson posted seven strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Hawks. Alivya Osborn homered in the loss for the Templars.
2A
State Championship Game @ Spanish Fork Softball Complex
SPANISH FORK, Utah-The No. 1 Enterprise Wolves bested No. 2 Duchesne 7-3 Saturday in the 2A state championship game at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex. The Wolves earned their third all-time state title in softball with the win. Enterprise has won state titles in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
Elimination Game @ Spanish Fork Softball Complex
SPANISH FORK, Utah-The No. 2 Duchesne Eagles edged No. 4 Parowan 3-2 in the 2A elimination game at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex. Madison Adams homered in the loss for the Rams. The Eagles will next face No. 1 Enterprise for the 2A state championship Saturday.
